Summon by Fire

After it's dark and

Before light breaks

Out by dawn, 

There's a 

Moment.

After the hunter fires

His gun and the

Bullet hits the deer, 

There's a 

Moment.

After this desire got

Set in and before our

Lips compulsively met, 

There was this 

Moment.. 

Of night passing

Into slumber. 

The deer staring 

At the inevitable. 

And I succumbing

To a summon 

By the fire,

Of your eyes.
